Description

This striking low-profile ceramic dish draws you into its depths with mesmerizing concentric circles that ripple outward like stones cast into still water. The rich blue-green iron glaze evokes the patina of ancient metal, creating an earthy yet sophisticated palette that shifts subtly in changing light. Great for holding jewelry, small trinkets, dips or sauces, or as an ashtray.

The creation process:
1. I threw the piece on a pottery wheel, then created the circle design
2. After drying for 2-3 days, I trimmed excess clay off of the piece.
3. After reaching the bone-dry stage, the piece was bisque fired in the kiln.
4. The piece was washed, then glazed.
6. The piece was fired in the kiln for a second time at cone 6.
7. It makes its way (hopefully) to your home! 🙂
