Iron Lustre Jack-O-Lantern

Description

This spooky Jack-O-Lantern is perfect for your Halloween decor! Just put a battery operated tea light inside, and his glowing face will add some spooky flair to your home. Each of my pieces is a unique work of art, hand-made and lovingly shaped and glazed, so there will be a few imperfections.

The creation process:
1. The shape is hand-thrown on a potters’ wheel.
2. After drying for 2-3 days, the piece is trimmed, and face carved.
3. After the piece completely dried to the bone-dry stage, it was bisque fired in the kiln.
4. The piece was washed, then glazed.
5. The piece was fired in the kiln for a second time at cone 6.
6. It makes its way (hopefully) to your spooky shelf!
