Iron Flower Dish/Ashtray

Description

This beautifully crafted ceramic ashtray features a vintage inspired red/green glaze that brings the 70’s back to life. Each piece is individually hand-thrown and fired, making it truly one-of-a-kind. Great for holding jewelry, small trinkets, dips or sauces, or as an ashtray.

The creation process:
1. I threw the piece on a pottery wheel, then created the shape by pushing in the sides
2. After drying for 2-3 days, I trimmed excess clay off of the piece.
3. After reaching the bone-dry stage, the piece was bisque fired in the kiln.
4. The piece was washed, then glazed
6. The piece was fired in the kiln for a second time at cone 6.
7. It makes its way (hopefully) to your home! 🙂
