These whimsical trees are perfect for your holiday or Christmas decor! Just put a battery operated tea light underneath, and the glowing leaves will add a cozy warmth to your holiday decorations. Each of my pieces is a unique work of art, hand-made and lovingly shaped and glazed, so there will be a few imperfections.  The glazing on these has a crackle-effect that looks like ice. These are similar in size to the Medium-size trees in the other green colors.

Description

These whimsical trees are perfect for your holiday or Christmas decor! Just put a battery operated tea light underneath, and the glowing leaves will add a cozy warmth to your holiday decorations. Each of my pieces is a unique work of art, hand-made and lovingly shaped and glazed, so there will be a few imperfections.  The glazing on these has a crackle-effect that looks like ice.

The creation process:
1. The clay is rolled flat, then molded into a cone.
2. After drying for 2-3 days, the leaves are carved and the edges are cleaned.
3. After the piece completely dried to the bone-dry stage, it was bisque fired in the kiln.
4. The piece was washed, then glazed.
5. The piece was fired in the kiln for a second time at cone 6.
6. It makes its way (hopefully) to your holiday decorations.
