The creation process:
1. I personally threw the piece on a potter’s wheel.
2. After drying for 2-3 days, I trimmed excess clay off of the piece.
3. I applied the white underglaze design to the surface of the mug and carved some details into the design.
4. After the piece completely dried to the bone-dry stage, it was bisque fired in the kiln.
5. The piece was washed, then glazed with a clear glaze.
6. The piece was fired in the kiln for a second time at cone 6.
7. It makes its way (hopefully) to your cupboard! 🙂
